Straight off the bat, this is the largest book series I've ever read! It's five (5!) published novels and two novellas totalling **6,454 pages** or, as I chose to read them, **282 hours** of audiobook! It's a beast of a series, and I think I'm struggling to put into words my feelings about the over arching story because the [Cosmere](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandon_Sanderson#Cosmere) is just so large and varied. Did I enjoy the series? Yes, I think so? I'm hesitant to say "Yes." as I needed to take large breaks from the audiobooks to stop them feeling oppressively long. Thirty hours (30!) into the last audiobook and I wasn't even halfway through the book, it had my questioning my life choices for sure. The story is beautifully written. Brandon Sanderson is able to craft prose at pace in a way I haven't seen from other authors. The output isn't slop, far from it, there's just so many pages. So much story to tell, so little time to read. I'd recommend starting with one of Brandon's other books first before diving into the full series. They're all connected via the Cosmere anyways, so you're not missing out, just to see if it's your thing or not before committing to ~6.5k pages! ----- You can find out more about the book on [StoryGraph](https://app.thestorygraph.com/series/330). I’m trying to push myself as both a reader and a writer by writing a review for the books I've read. #books #bookreview
