Horrorstor is a fascinating mystery set in Orsk, a furniture superstore in Cleveland, Ohio.
There's always funky, unexplainable things happening in Ohio, and this Americanised IKEA furniture store is no different. A clean store is closed at night only to find items smashed by morning, stock is going missing and Corporate won't put up with it for much longer, so a small team assembles to try and flush out whatever weirdness inside.
The mix of suspense and mystery alongside healthy amounts of disdain of working for a large corporation and IKEA riffs had me hooked. The story progressed quickly, and I enjoyed all the twists and turns. I'd love to read a followup to make this into a small series!
I'd rate this book 4/5, would recommend.
